What is Capacity Building?

HBCU & small business capacity building is defined as the "process of developing and strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources that organizations and communities need to survive, adapt, and thrive in the fast-changing Global Knowledge Economy."

The video on the top left talks about the outstanding Alumni that have attended HBCUs.  Our methodology & technology platform as it relates to the work we do with the HBCUs and Minority Serving Institutions starts with capturing their capabilities.

Our Minority Online Information Services (MOLIS) platform has a database of the research capabilities of 105 HBCUs, 130 Hispanic Serving Institutions, and 25 Tribal Colleges.   Our help desk works with Federal Agency personnel to identify candidates for grants and contract that will help support the President's Executive Order for building the capacity of these institutions.

The video on the bottom provides a executive summary of the $2.3B lawsuit that was won due to the treatment of HBCUs in Maryland.  The remedy is still being worked.
